Let me tell you about my recent auditory and environmental Bigfoot experience.
Last month, it was a Friday dusk I took my dog Murphy a beagle out for his last pee for the night. We turned around corner of my apartment beside my room he did his thing and we came back inside.
I went to get his cookie he had gone into my room and I gave it to him, sat on my bed and as occasionally happens in this area a group of coyote passed through the backyard. I was very relieved we got inside just in time. Murphy naturally reacted to the coyote pack and their noise.
A few seconds after the coyotes which were being very ruckus very close to my apart from the nearby woods came very loud and deep tree knocks which were hard and deep enough to vibrate the wall my bed sites against The coyote immediately went silent even as the knocks went on a few more times.
Murphy of course had entirety different reaction to the knocks. He went on guard and repeatedly went to the back slider door to look outside. And from my own sense I could tell there was something, no longer the coyotes lurking around. I realize auditory experiences are not as exciting as sightings but I want to add in that moment I actually had no interest whatsoever in trying to see what produced the knocks. Just the opposite in fact I was avoiding doing so.

Now why do I believe Capturing Bigfoot is Probably Itself a Hoax?
First to get this out of the way. That suit is not the same as the PGF Patty not even a little bit. Some people are being swept up in the movement rather then the build.
But my biggest issues with this are the very muddied chain of custody of this new "Norma Footage" and the filmmaking behavior we are expected to swallow if its a rehearsal.
Why are we not given context as to what is on the rest of the reel? Because what is or is not on the rest of the reel would help us understand this new footage.
What would I expect to find on full rehearsal reel?
Filmstock is not cheap, particularly in the 60s its not something you casually waste. So I would expect a rehearsal reel, after you dragged yourself, equipment, a horse and a guy in a cumbersome primate suit out into a wooded area to contain more than one take and I would even expect little asides moments when the camera drifted as the shot was being refined. All of which would be damning in ways this new Norma Footage fails to be. If any of that exists on this new reel I would expected to have seen it by now. Its way stronger a case for a rehearsal run than a one and done take.
Right and no one engineering a hoax that they feel they need to do a dry run on gets one take and calls it a day. Because they are not just rehearsing what is in the frame but how they themselves are going to handle the camera. Even if the first take was pristine -- You do it over and probably more than twice so when you get to your master location you don't waste film or time or daylight.
Now I have lots of issues with the fact Marq Evens was supplied with this footage by a coworker at the very collage he teaches film at and that she didn't seem to know a method to see what was on the reel? Huh? Its film you stick it in a projector which I am sure the collage had and watch it. This is not exactly lost knowledge.
Yet my biggest questions and they can easily be settled. Show the whole reel. Just to be clear if nothing else is on that reel chances are it is either a recreation after the fact (Because you already have a blueprint for what you are trying to make in the PGF film) or and I am strongly leaning towards this conclusion it is new footage shot on old film and equipment, recently by Marq Evens and his team themselves.
