Divorce Movie? I don't even think Denis Villeneuve's Chani likes Paul nevermind some epic breakup from him. Which she already did. So this is merely doubling down on her storming out of the room.
As if Part 2 didn't already tell us that. This post isn't intended to cover lore only meant to state plainly Denis Villeneuve's movies are not DUNE in the meaningful sense of an adaption. Rather they are merely using DUNE as a vehicle for his own agenda. Just like Greta Gerwig's Narnia the only difference is she had more courage to own it. It took Denis Villeneuve three movies and two of which are incomplete because he desperately wanted to get to: Paul Atreides is Bad! -- Which is not the books in any honest reading. But again I will leave dissection of lore and text for other posts.
There are already better and faithful adaptions of DUNE. Including actually David Lynch's movie because it doesn't fundamentally change the plot of characters despite its Lynchisms. Unlike Denis Villeneuve who is no better than Alejandro Jodorowsky, only more subtly subversive/ At least Alejandro Jodorowsky was upfront.
If you think James Bond is going to survive Denis Villeneuve as the James Bond you actually care about. I've got a warning for you. Nope. Denis Villeneuve is not the man to make a 007 movie. James Bond is not the kind of character Denis Villeneuve even likes. He will deconstruct 007 even more than he already has been and don't be surprised if Denis Villeneuve brings along Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya for the ride. He's not no motive not to and more motive to reward them with roles in James Bond.
